Biography
Peter J. Culp, a senior attorney and the owner of the firm, has extensive experience in the areas of business and civil litigation, personal injury, labor and employment, real estate, wills and estate planning, and all aspects of family law, including divorce, paternity, and third-party visitation. Not only does Peter have the day-to-day experience, handling matters in each of those areas and others, he also has significant experience with evidentiary hearings and trying cases in front of juries and judges.
Peter has received a BV peer rating for his high legal ability and very high ethical standards from Martindale Hubbell. He had been appointed by the Wisconsin Supreme Court to serve on the Office of Lawyer Regulation, District Investigation Committee.
Peter is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and Minnesota (inactive), the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and the federal Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He had been pro hac vice in the federal District Courts in Georgia, Minnesota, and Missouri.
Before starting Culp Law Firm, LLC, Peter was selected by the late Circuit Court Judge William Crane to serve as a law clerk to the Winnebago County Circuit Court, served as a law clerk at a prestigious Minneapolis law firm, was an associate attorney for the national law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson, LLP, and an associate attorney and partner for a midsized local firm.
